This is a fresh install of Kubuntu 12.10 64bit, with kmail messages imported from tar.gz archive made by kmail under Kubuntu 12.04. I'm sure that trash folder was there, but one day noticed that it had disappeared. Then i deleted all the akonadi etc configs and it created a new folder. I think at that point the trash was already missing. Then i imported the kmail1 mails using the import kmail1 folder structure importer.
