[Bug 304454] Kmail-4.8.3 fails to expand a Recipient group before sending an email

I created a group, added it as reciepient, and the mail got send to groupname@myhostname and nothing else. This worked for me at some point during the otherwise horrible period through kde 4.7-4.8, but now again a major drawback in usability :( When you mark a bug like this as upstream, does that mean it is just sent to some limbo?
