Deleting one of them solved the problem for me. I have only about 1 000 mails, but same symptoms plus memory leak: after a hours kmail is taking whole RAM and Kubuntu gets frozen. Closing is posible only with kill. After clicking on mail is in mail window displayed (in Czech) Stahuje se obsah složky. Prosím čekejte . . . (aka Downloading folder content. Please wait...).
