a but hairy to do with current Kea: it is one of the things I plan to make

Hi Roland, another approach you might want to explore is the Kea DHCP-DDNS
feature , so that
you can configure Packer to use a FQDN, like ubuntu-server.yourdomain.com,
instead of an IP address.
