[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1850627] Re: Right click happens automatically, disturbs work
Ok, almost a day now. Started and shutdown the PC a few times, used for a few hours each time. There was no " auto right-click issue " in Cinnamon so far. Once or twice single left click because double click. But that was all in last 24 hours +. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1850627 Title: Right click happens automatically, disturbs work Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Since the last 3-4 days, the right click happens all by itself. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1850548] Re: Unable to install kdump tools: post install script returning fail
Sorry, I missed the entirety of the message with the logs and didn't notice that there was a kernel there, and that /var/lib/kdump-tools/ and /var/crash/ seem to be writable. As I said, I just pushed a test makedumpfile/kdump-tools to ppa:cascardo/ppa that does not create the initrd during postinst. Also, notice that kdump-tools.service needs to be enabled, but that it will fail to load if crashkernel has not been reserved, that is, you need crashkernel=. in the kernel command line. Can you verify what is the value of /sys/kernel/kexec_crash_size ? The only thing I guess would be a pending issue for this case is the drivers that are included in the kdump initrd. As you said, it uses MODULES=dep instead of MODULES=most to reduce the memory footprint for the crashkernel. We could work on a solution there. But can you at least install and load kdump-tools with this fixed package, once you make sure you have a proper crashkernel on the command line? Thank you. This prevents running QEMU with the -enable-kvm option to use hardware virtualization capabilities of the CPU. I have recompiled the kernel with CONFIG_KVM set and could successfully run QEMU with -enable-kvm on my Raspberry Pi 3 B+ afterwards. With those commits cherry-picked on top of the current sound subsystem tree (aside from 65263bf16116 and 3f89e62cf14c, which both revert changes that are not in that tree), it works. The option for SOF support on Broadwell gets deselected automatically during the build, because the legacy driver is selected. [Fix] For the usb host issue, it adds a fix by setting the usb dma bounce buffer under 1G. [Test Case] some users and I alreaady tested the armhf and arm64 kernel on pi4 and pi3 boards, the usb host worked well and no other regressions introduced. [Regression Risk] Low, these patches are from the github which is the pi official kernel repository. And we already tested armhf and arm64 kernel on pi4/3 boards. The rpi kernel of https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux.git has been updated, for the branch of rpi-5.3.y (Eoan kernel base on this branch), there are 107 new patches merged, we also need to merge those patches to Eoan kernel. I noticed that since Linux 5.2rc2 audio playback no longer works on Dell Venue 11 Pro 7140 (Intel Core M-5Y71; rt286). Turns out that happened because SND_SOC_SOF_BROADWELL_SUPPORT was enabled in kernel binary builds since 5.2rc2: https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel- ppa/mainline/v5.2-rc2/ To verify this assumption I tested two builds of Linux 5.3.1. 1. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1846335] Re: [CML] New device id's for CMP-H
It seems for linux-oem 4.15, there will be error messages in regard to i915. Since there are still some changes, e.g. bug 1848491, waiting to be SRU-ed to 4.15 and it seems 4.15 backport is not so urgent right now, I'll not try to include more fix for this task for linux-oem 4.15.
