[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1578610] Re: Ubuntu 16.04 - Bad support for Intel Wireless 7260
Hi Corey, As you can see from the previous messages, Fix Released just means that the bug has been fixed in the latest upstream kernel (v4.6) that I tested. After testing the kernel v4.6 I also verified that the Intel Wireless 7260 support is not an issue anymore, starting from the kernel v4.4 (I had 4.3). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1578610 Title: Ubuntu 16.04 - Bad support for Intel Wireless 7260 Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: General Information. uname -a: Linux 4.4.0-21-generic #37-Ubuntu SMP Mon Apr 18 18:33:37 UTC 2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux sudo iwconfig: enp0s25 no wireless extensions. wwan0 no wireless extensions. lono wireless extensions. wlp3s0IEEE 802.11abgn ESSID:"SEE-R" Mode:Managed Frequency:2.462 GHz Access Point: C4:6E:1F:9E:3D:44 Bit Rate=300 Mb/s Tx-Power=22 dBm Retry short limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off Encryption key:off Power Management:on Link Quality=63/70 Signal level=-47 dBm Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0 Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:524 Missed beacon:0 sudo lshw: *-network description: Wireless interface product: Wireless 7260 vendor: Intel Corporation physical id: 0 bus info: pci@:03:00.0 logical name: wlp3s0 version: 73 serial: ac:7b:a1:8a:f9:b2 width: 64 bits clock: 33MHz capabilities: pm msi pciexpress bus_master cap_list ethernet physical wireless configuration: broadcast=yes driver=iwlwifi driverversion=4.4.0-21-generic firmware=16.242414.0 ip=192.168.0.112 latency=0 link=yes multicast=yes wireless=IEEE 802.11abgn resources: irq:31 memory:f150-f1501fff Wireless keeps disconnecting no matter what Intel 7260 driver I use.
