[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1953554] Re: NETDEV WATCHDOG: waneth (ax88179_178a): transmit queue 0 timed out
I see it seems depends on how the adapter is connected. Previously it was plugged into monitor's USB hub and I had the issues. Now I've plugged it directly into laptop's port, it works fine so far. I guess it may be caused by other devices (maybe usb headset I have?.. it may explain why it happens during video calls) on the same bus interfering with the network adapter. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1953554 Title: NETDEV WATCHDOG: waneth (ax88179_178a): transmit queue 0 timed out Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Hi, I am facing this problem in Focal with the USB 3.0 Ethernet Gigabit adapter "ASIX Electronics Corp. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1796582] Re: Internal microphone not working on Lenovo Ideapad 330S-15ARR
** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1796582 Title: Internal microphone not working on Lenovo Ideapad 330S-15ARR Status in Linux: Confirmed Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: The internal microphone on this troublesome laptop stopped working after upgrading from Bionic to Cosmic. There is no signal from the microphone with kernel 4.18.0-7 or 4.18.0-8. This DOES work correctly with kernel 4.15.0-34 that is still present on Cosmic after the upgrade. I recommend Canonical gets this laptop for testing since a ton of stuff is troublesome on this Raven Ridge laptop. Would be a good specimen to get support for this platform improved. Re: [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1857307] Re: Wireless wouldn't turn on.
Hello, Thank you for getting back to me. I am reporting on 19.10, PCI wireless. 1. Here the rfkill output: $ sudo rfkill unblock all $ sudo rfkill list 0: phy0: Wireless LAN Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: yes 2. There is no any special switch but F8 key which I suppose works when pressed F8+Fn but i doesn't get wireless on still. If F8 pressed alone -- no difference either. 3. I checked the BIOS-> Security: Wireless LAN [Enabled] On 12/23/19 9:01 PM, Po-Hsu Lin wrote: > Hello, > let's focus on 19.10, you're reporting an issue for the PCI wireless card > (Wireless-AC 9260) in your system or the USB D-Link card? > > Can you try the following steps to see if it helps: >1. run command "rfkill unblock all" >2. or to flip the wifi switch (if any) >3. check you BIOS setting to ensure this device is enabled > > ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) > Status: Confirmed => Incomplete > -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1857307 Title: Wireless wouldn't turn on. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1655878] Re: uvcvideo fails to init camera and then dmesg is full with traces
I don't remember that I tried to use this camera before. Trying to follow the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds - it says to uninstall out- of-tree modules, but doesn't refer to how to identify them and actually uninstall. There is exactly the same issue at https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/196616/identify-out-of-tree- modules but provided solution looks more like hack. Maybe it is outdated and there is a better official way to get them? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1655878 Title: uvcvideo fails to init camera and then dmesg is full with traces Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: The dmesg log should be attached. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1520355] Re: Kernel/Debugging/Backlight/Ubuntu Gnome 15.10
Christopher, on Ubuntu 16.04, the problem with the backlight decided easy for this recipe: create a file named 20-intel.conf sudo touch /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf opened it for editing sudo gedit /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf insert lines Section "Device" Identifier "card0" Driver "intel" Option "Backlight" "intel_backlight" BusID "PCI:0:2:0" EndSection saved and rebooted brightness adjustment earned. In unity with Ubuntu 14.04, 15.10, 16.04 it works, but on Ubuntu GNOME not. The report failed to do. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1520355] Re: Kernel/Debugging/Backlight/Ubuntu Gnome 15.10
Christopher, I tried the kernel (4.5-rc3). The result - the backlight is not adjustable. I think the problem is not in the kernel. I use Ubuntu Gnome, but more than a month ago, I installed the MATE environment, right at the gnome, then Gnome and MATE mixed up, but surrounded by MATE the lighting was regulated, with kernels 4.2. I think it is Gnome. Only I didn't realize to whom to report it. I would be grateful if prompt. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1520355 Title: Kernel/Debugging/Backlight/Ubuntu Gnome 15.10 Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Expired Bug description: anatoly@anatoly-Lenovo-B570e:~$ ubuntu-bug linux anatoly@anatoly-Lenovo-B570e:~$ ls /sys/class/backlight > backlight anatoly@anatoly-Lenovo-B570e:~$ grep -r . /proc/acpi > acpi anatoly@anatoly-Lenovo-B570e:~$ sudo acpidump -o acpidump.txt [sudo] пароль для anatoly: anatoly@anatoly-Lenovo-B570e:~$ acpixtract acpidump.txt Intel ACPI Component Architecture ACPI Binary Table Extraction Utility version 20150717-64 Copyright (c) 2000 - 2015 Intel Corporation Acpi table [DSDT] - 39619 bytes written to dsdt.dat Acpi table [SSDT] - 4200 bytes written to ssdt1.dat Acpi table [SSDT] - 2388 bytes written to ssdt2.dat Acpi table [SSDT] - 2316 bytes written to ssdt3.dat Acpi table [SSDT] - 2454 bytes written to ssdt4.dat Acpi table [SSDT] - 1660 bytes written to ssdt5.dat Acpi table [SSDT] - 771 bytes written to ssdt6.dat Acpi table [SSDT] - 281 bytes written to ssdt7.dat anatoly@anatoly-Lenovo-B570e:~$ iasl -d DSDT.dat Intel ACPI Component Architecture ASL+ Optimizing Compiler version 20150717-64 Copyright (c) 2000 - 2015 Intel Corporation Could not open input file: No such file or directory anatoly@anatoly-Lenovo-B570e:~$ sudo fwts > fwts Test: Gather kernel system information. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1380249] Re: [Lenovo IdeaPad Y550P] Mute LED indication is inverted
I have applied this patch: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16373#c21 on top of stable 3.17.1 kernel from kernel.org (patch said Hunk #1 succeeded at 5783 (offset 170 lines).).
