[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1850439] Re: No sound on ASUS UX534FT

2020-04-30 Thread Dan Darie
If you have a pair of USB headphones, give them a try. Just bought a
Samsung S20 phone today and it occured to me I should the headphones on
my laptop.

They worked :)

Just unplug them when booting up. My Ubuntu 20.04 got stuck on booting
until I plugged them off.

2020-02-10 Thread Dan Darie
I tried snd_hda_intel.model=alc256-asus-aio with kernels 5.3.0, 5.4.13
and 5.5.2, no success, the sound is still not working.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1774359] Re: could not find module by name='off'

2018-10-14 Thread Dan Darie
Fixed it by commenting lines in 159-161 in /usr/bin/prime-select:

#alias nvidia off
#alias nvidia-drm off
#alias nvidia-modeset off'''

Also, comment lines 3-4 in /lib/modprobe.d/nvidia-graphics-drivers.conf

#alias nouveau off
#alias lbm-nouveau off
