Title:
  System freeze since kernel 3.13.0-74-generic

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I run Ubuntu 14.04 since it was released with no problems. Since I
installed kernel 3.13.0-74 with system updates my system hangs up
every one or two days. I can still switch between consoles (including
graphical console #7) but all running applications hang up, I cannot
start any commands in a terminal and cannot log in in colsole or via
  ssh.

This also happens with kernel 3.13.0-76, which was installed on Jan.
  20.

When I switch back to kernel 3.13.0-71 everything runs stable. For several
weeks. I never had and have a problem with this kernel version.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1537073] Re: System freeze since kernel 3.13.0-74-generic

2016-01-22 Thread Realtime
I issued this command with running 3.13.0-71 (because this version runs stable).
Is it required to execute the command with the running problematic kernel?

  System freeze since kernel 3.13.0-74-generic

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I run Ubuntu 14.04 since it was released with no problems. Since I
installed kernel 3.13.0-74 with system updates my system hangs up
every one or two days. I can still switch between consoles (including
graphical console #7) but all running applications hang up, I cannot
start any commands in a terminal and cannot log in in colsole or via

This also happens with kernel 3.13.0-76, which was installed on Jan.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1278476] Re: Installer does not start in kvm

2014-02-10 Thread Realtime
It seems that the error message is not the reason why the installer does
not start. I figured out that my working saucy also gives that message
and then starts without problems.

The latest daily build hangs in the black screen a long time but then
starts the installer. Which does not look very fancy (see attachted
screenshot).
