Reproduced on Dell Inspiron 13z / 1370. See my bug for apport information, I still have this problem and requires a manual (not very noob friendly) config file edit to grub to fix it. Whole point of Ubuntu is that it is a user friendly distribution, this pretty much kills some of the usability for 1370 users. If there's any other commands you would like me to run for you, let me know.
