I am unable to boot up the above kernel reliably on my laptop. Both times i booted it, my system hung. I had to do a hard reset (force power down). I am not able to tell if the new kernel fixes my issue. When the system hangs, keyboard input doesn't work, this happened immediately after kernel booted. The 2nd time the system was able to get to the unity login screen and i was able to login. SYstem hung soon after i launched terminal to test. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1686592 Title: APST quirk needed for Intel NVMe Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Two users reports issue on Intel NVMe [1] (comment #34, #35). [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1655842] Re: "Out of memory" errors after upgrade to 4.4.0-59
Thanks to those who reported/fixed this bug. Out of curiosity, was this a bug in the 4.4.0-59 kernel itself or in Ubuntu's packaging of the kernel, i.e. were other (non-Ubuntu) Linux users impacted ? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1655842 Title: "Out of memory" errors after upgrade to 4.4.0-59 Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in linux source package in Xenial: Fix Committed Bug description: I recently replaced some Xenial servers, and started experiencing "Out of memory" problems with the default kernel. I have installed the suggested bcmwl drivers from the "Additional Drivers" application. I installed my system a long time back, but didn't realise the bluetooth just wasn't working. The wifi works fine, and there were no issues during my upgrade from 14.10 to 15.04.
