2014-03-19 Thread Ugo Riboni
I tested it with upstream kernel and the bug does not appear.

Kernel panics shortly after loading hid_magicmouse

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I am trying to use a Magic Touchpad and after pairing it I reliably get a
kernel panic.
The kernel doesn't manage to write to disk anything about the crash, but
there are several OOPSes before that which might give a clue as to what happens
(attached to this bug too).

This might be just a duplicate of bug #1252874, feel free to mark it

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1252874] Re: Kernel panic shortly after pairing Apple Magic Touchpad

2014-03-17 Thread Ugo Riboni
I have the same problem as the OP, but in my case the kernel log seems
to give more useful information. There are a number of OOPSes in the
log, before the actual crash, and one of them is in hid_magicmouse,
always at the same location.

I'm attaching a log that shows the OOPSes. The system doesn't log anything else
to disk after that.
If there's any other info that I can help provide please let me know.
