[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1826549] Re: Mouse wheel scroll does not work after upgrade to Ubuntu 19.04 with Linux kernel 5.0 (but kernel 4.18 works)
The problem still existed in December 2019 (Ubuntu 19.04). But I can confirm that Ubuntu 19.10 fixes this issue. Most probably fix will never be ported to Ubuntu 19.04 kernel. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1826549 Title: Mouse wheel scroll does not work after upgrade to Ubuntu 19.04 with Linux kernel 5.0 (but kernel 4.18 works) Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I've just upgraded to Ubuntu 19.04 and found that scrolling with mouse wheel does not work any more. My mouse is Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2000. The mouse is connected to USB port via wireless receiver (Microsoft Wireless Mouse Receiver v1.0). I've found that problem is related to new Linux kernel 5.0. When I boot with previous kernel 4.18 all works good. The problem is reproducible with xorg and with wayland. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1510570] Re: BLE pairing fail
I confirm that Microsoft Arch Tech mouse cannot be paired with Asus Eee PC. I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 Linux earth 4.4.0-22-generic #40-Ubuntu SMP Thu May 12 22:03:15 UTC 2016 i686 i686 i686 GNU/Linux. Bluez version 5.37-0ubuntu5 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to bluez in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1510570 Title: BLE pairing fail Status in bluez package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: On 15.10 we now have bluez 5 so we can pair BLE devices like the Microsoft Arc Touch Bluetooth Mouse. But this pairing doesn't work very well. Mouse is seen but pairing fail. More information: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104011#c5 This is due to udev rule that use "hcitool" to power on device. Hopefully, bluez 5.35 has a new parameter "AutoEnable" who can be used instead of udev rules. here is a commit with this parameter: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~guilhem-fr/bluez/autoenable/revision/138 And a ppa to test it: https://code.launchpad.net/~guilhem-fr/+archive/ubuntu/bluez-autoenable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez/+bug/1510570/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
