[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1269412] Re: via-rhine kernel module: PHY status 786d, resetting

I'm getting network dropping and unable to re establish via-rhine.
I was working in bug #1460304 and had upgraded my CPU.
Is there more in common with these bugs?
I tested both kernels

know where to start and what to do..!?

Step by step would be welcome. :)

Sorry, I do what I can to help report bugs but I have not had computer
training and there, it's high to my level of understanding. ^^

Title:
  [Asus SABERTOOTH P67] PC freezes

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  The bug is as follows:

The whole system freezes except the mouse. After 5 seconds, the screen
turns off as if he put on standby.

After 20 to 30 seconds, in most cases, the screen turns back on and it
is possible to resume the job. But sometimes, the screen comes back
but the rest is still frozen and then the screen turns off again, on
again and so on. In this case, a forced reboot is required.

However, while the system is frozen, magic keys (reisub) are still
  functional.

I noticed that this bug occurs mainly when I used my pc so active
(file transfer, web browsing, video playback, etc). I left my pc on
for several days without working on it and according to the system
log, the bug has not manifested.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1349923] Re: Freeze pc

2014-07-29 Thread galen
Hi jsalisbury,

I tested the following kernels:
3.13
3.14
3.15
3.16.0-6 (actual)
3.16.0-999 (kernel.ubuntu.com - daily build)

The result is the same ... After a while it freezes. I have this bug for
about two weeks but I can not say what is the update that would cause.

I tried installing the latest drivers via the ppa free of Oibaf:
http://ppa.launchpad.net/oibaf/graphics-drivers/ubuntu/ but the bug is
still there.

Title:
  Freeze pc

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  New

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1341997] Re: Radeon drivers extremely flaky

2014-07-17 Thread galen
I confirm the bug on Ubuntu 14.10 with the following kernels: 3.14,
3.15, 3.16

The screen freezes, turns off as as it goes into standby. Once again, it
returns itself after a few seconds, when time is completely blocked and you
must use a hard reboot.
I do not know if it's related but I found that the crash occurs often when
using my web browser (chromium-browser)
