[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1715552] Re: VMWare does not start

2017-10-11 Thread poet_imp
I am stuck on 12.5.7 for the time being so if anyone gets past the:

/usr/lib/vmware/bin/vmware-modconfig: Relink `/lib/x86_64-linux-
gnu/libbsd.so.0' with `/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/librt.so.1' for IFUNC
symbol `clock_gettime'

problem, please post the workaround.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1577197] Re: Pulseaudio bluez5-util.c: TryAcquire() failed - Operation Not Authorized

2016-10-17 Thread poet_imp
The problem persists in 16.10. I was soo hoping that this would be
resolved by the upgrade. Ubuntu 16.10 is showing version 5.41 as the
latest available. Might someone be willing to package 5.42, if that
fixes this?

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1385113] Re: hid-generic 0005:099A:0500.0001: unknown main item tag 0x0

2015-03-21 Thread poet_imp
I reported success a bit prematurely. The problem has been much improved
but it still persists in Vivid in the 4.0 kernel. I have found that if I
place the laptop in sleep mode and resume it that it corrects the issue.
