[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1866745] Re: Extreme slow Ubuntu startup

2020-03-12 Thread tofono
For me it depends on the fact that you have introduced the md5sum verification
at startup which makes Ubuntu's actual startup very slow. Which I also found in
a previous release of the beta version of focal. In the previous case studies
the control was now displayed instead there is the start screen that masks this
tedious control.
What is the purpose of an MD5sum check at every boot?

  Extreme slow Ubuntu startup

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
With the latest live release, starting takes around 4:30 to get to the
jingle and around 5:40 to get Ubuntu up and running. With the version
of 24-01-2020 instead 0:47 and 1:08 respectively. The boot time with
the latest releases is exaggerated. Please check and correct the
  problem. Thank you.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1943813] Re: Problem with bluetooth keyboard: not usable

2021-09-25 Thread tofono
I downloaded the Impish Mate version of 09-25-2021 and I made a fresh
installation. I also proceeded to update (it only updated Firefox because I
believe all other updates were included).
Unfortunately the indicated problem has not been solved. I also tried with the
updated Ubuntu Mate 20.04 LTS but it still doesn't work. I also used another
Bluetooth adapter on another PC but the result is the same. Hello.

I have a bluetooth mouse that I use regularly with Ubuntu Mate 20.04.x

I'm not using Impish at the moment but maybe this situation could be similar
for this version too. Bye!

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1879026] [NEW] Error in driver noveau and NVidia: unable to load them.

2020-05-16 Thread tofono
Public bug reported:

Hi, I have installed the final version of ubuntu 20.04 LTS and ubuntu mate
20.04 LTS.
Unfortunately, if I try to load the result of the driver, in both versions it
is the complete block of the system. I also added "nomodeset" to the
configuration file at startup to restore the system but without getting
results: the system goes to lockout.
Identically if I switch the disk from one PC to another with the NVidia driver
compatible with both video cards the system is unable to boot. I did numerous
tests with 2 PCs and a notebook equipped with Nvidia sk video. Sk video: 730GT,
1060, 740m (notebook with intel sk video integrated in the processor). With
version 16.04 LTS the problem does not arise. Kindly resolve the problem.
See you.
