[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1038220] Re: [Lenovo-T430s]: Key behaviour is erratic.

2013-08-28 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Jeff Marcom, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications-Accessories-Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

Title:
  [Lenovo-T430s]: Key behaviour is erratic.

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Lenovo-T430s

  201202-10635

  Problem discovered:
Battery information key actually locks systems requiring password entry. The
actual lock key designated for the systems does nothing. Other keys seem to
respond intermittedly. Example: hitting the brightness keys could change the
display without issue, however after trying again 5 minutes later the machine
will not. While using the laptop for awhile the brightness will adjust with no
user interaction suggesting there is a huge lag between input. This goes for
the sleep key as well.

  Affected keys:
Lock, sleep, wireless, brightness, media back, media forward, media
stop/play/resume.

The fn key that seems to work flawlessly is the led above the
display's onboard camera. This is mapped to the spacebar.
