Title:
  Fn+F2 (switch wireless) doesn't work on Asus 1015e

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Using:
  * Asus 1015e (French, Windows 8 pre-installed)
  * SecureBoot disabled from UEFI
  * Ubuntu Saucy nightly image (from Aug 27th) on USB stick
  * Starting Live (didn't install Ubuntu)

  When I hit Fn+F2 (which shows a switch wireless icon), nothing
  happens. I expected it to turn off wifi.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1221067] Re: Fn+F2 (switch wireless) doesn't work on Asus 1015e

2013-09-05 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Mickael Istria, thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to
make Ubuntu better. Please execute the following command, as it will
automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:
apport-collect 1221067
When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu-bug' and
the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this functionality
at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1221067] Re: Fn+F2 (switch wireless) doesn't work on Asus 1015e

2013-09-05 Thread Mickael Istria
Unfortunately, using Saucy nightly from Live USB Stick, I can't use
apport-collect, because it requires installation of python-apport, and
sudo apt-get install python-apport is failing on a 404 on the saucy
repository.
