[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1252418] Re: Kernel crash if user starts VirtualBox guest OS while KVM guest OS running

2013-12-03 Thread Joseph Salisbury
Thanks for the update.

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.12 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot,
please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as
Confirmed.

Thanks in advance.

2013-11-18 Thread Joseph Salisbury
I don't see any crash messages in your log. Does the Guest OS lock up?
Did this just start happening after a recent update or upgrade?

Looks like a crash, doesn't it? Guest OS didn't start at all.

I can't say exactly about update or upgrade, because I never tried to
start to VMs simultaneously before. Two or more KVM boxes or several VB
boxes works fine.
