[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1309644] Re: file splice in pool causes network timeout which freezes both systems
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.15 kernel[0]. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'. If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'. Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as Confirmed. Thanks in advance. Please test the latest v3.15 kernel[0]. Unfortunately, no; my main machine failed to start on power-up yesterday and I'm running on the only backup machine I have. I did note in a previous comment that the same thing happens on the previous kernel, which was available on this backup machine. If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'. Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as Confirmed. For the same reason, I'm unable to add a tag to the report until I can get the main machine powered up again, since all my Launchpad credentials are stored on it. Can you add the appropriate tag for me, please?
