[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1362168] Re: ubuntu14.04.1 don't read sd card on laptop sony vaio vgn-tz31xn
To Joseph Salisbury (jsalisbury) This is an old issue, I have found some case on UBUNTU from 8.04 (http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-766892.html)to 12.04 (an other vaio, http://forum.ubuntu-it.org/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=522361 ), but never for a laptop like the mine. I was sure that with the release 14 the problem was solved, but it is not so. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1362168] Re: ubuntu14.04.1 don't read sd card on laptop sony vaio vgn-tz31xn
Did this issue occur in a previous version of Ubuntu, or is this a new issue? Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.17 kernel[0]. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'. If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'. Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed". Thanks in advance. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1362168] Re: ubuntu14.04.1 don't read sd card on laptop sony vaio vgn-tz31xn
I'm moving this bug to the kernel, as it looks like a driver problem which is more kernel-related. The system is not certified so this is not related to the certification program. Thanks! ** Project changed: ubuntu-certification => linux (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1362168 Title: ubuntu14.04.1 don't read sd card on laptop sony vaio vgn-tz31xn Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I have installed (connnected online) ubuntu 14.04.1 on my sony vaio vgntz31xn: the laptop don't read sd card with internal reader ricoh: It's not a problem hardware, because the reader go perfectly with windows.
