Still happening with 6.2.0-36-generic. I am seeing this in Ubuntu 22.10 5.19.0-30-generic. Hello. Today, I've noticed two entries about 'ecryptfs_decrypt_page' and 'ecryptfs_readpage' errors in `/var/log/syslog` file. I have no idea if there was/is more such entries. However, it looks this way: ,[ ✖ Error ] | kernel: [25312.360714] ecryptfs_decrypt_page: Error attempting to read lower page; rc = [-4] | kernel: [25312.360724] ecryptfs_readpage: Error decrypting page; rc = [-4] ` There was not any system slowdowns, freezing etc. Anyway, `/home` partition was encrypted during installation with eCryptfs (vide `/home/.ecryptfs/t4/.Private`). after reading those instructions guess i'm supposed to uninstall noveau module? I uninstalled nvidia when it complained about nvidia moduel. I have no idea how to do boot with no modules. would I even be able to boot into a gui? lmaothis is nuts. could I even test steam and the nvidia driver with these kernels? I'm way too noob to be testing this for you it seems, sorry. I wanted to use ubuntu since it comes with its own apparmor profiles and is officially supported by steam. But I really don't like seeing messages like that in dmesg. In order to allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue, at your earliest convenience, could you please test the latest upstream kernel available from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/?C=N;O=D ? Please keep in mind the following: 1) The one to test is at the very top line at the top of the page (not the daily folder). 2) The release names are irrelevant. 3) The folder time stamps aren't indicative of when the kernel actually was released upstream. 4) Install instructions are available at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/MainlineBuilds . If testing on your main install would be inconvenient, one may: 1) Install Ubuntu to a different partition and then test this there. 2) Backup, or clone the primary install. If the latest kernel did not allow you to test to the issue (ex. you couldn't boot into the OS) please make a comment in your report about this, and continue to test the next most recent kernel version until you can test to the issue. that cs:go crash was when i tabbed to the desktop I think I was low on ram, probably unrelated. don't know about those libgl errors. I know that is needed for steam. Could it be caused by the nvidia driver? I had the same issue on linuxmint when upgrading to the 4.4 kernel so I just stuck with the 3.19 kernel there as well where i didn't have the messages. I also tried manually make a cryptswap with password prompt on boot for hibernation but that didnt' help either. I think it is possibly caused by steam. I can recreate the issue, cause the lines to show in dmesg. By opening up Steam, load a game, then quit the game, and then quit steam. Then the new error lines will be there.
