[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1619766] Re: Backport E3 Skylake Support in ie31200_edac to Xenial

2016-09-28 Thread Mark McCallister
There doesn't seem to be a newer kernel than the mainline repo in
proposed (4.4.0-38) but I was able to verify this using the 4.4.0-41
kernel in the canonical-kernel-team PPA.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1619766] Re: Backport E3 Skylake Support in ie31200_edac to Xenial

2016-09-26 Thread Brad Figg
This bug is awaiting verification that the kernel in -proposed solves
the problem. Please test the kernel and update this bug with the
results. If the problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed-
xenial' to 'verification-done-xenial'.

If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will
be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed.

See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how
to enable and use -proposed. Thank you!

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1619766] Re: Backport E3 Skylake Support in ie31200_edac to Xenial

I built a test kernel with a pick of commit 953dee9. The test kernel can be
downloaded from:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~jsalisbury/lp1619766/

Can you test this kernel and see if it resolves this bug?

Thanks in advance!
