Bios upgraded from v 2.19 to 2.30 today. I will test and let you know if the issue remains. I downloaded Lubuntu and burned the .iso to a DVD for possible installation. The Core 2 Duo has implemented the Intel64 extension. You should install Bionic 64 bit (usefully Lubuntu) w/o Flash. It exists a serious hardware issue with T61 and Nvdia GPU.
