No, I have the AMD R6xx HDMI sound chip. For me, the problem has been resolved on Kubuntu 19.04 and the Ideapad 330-15ARR. I have the kernel 5.0.0-13-generic. The dumb thing is: it was working! For a while. I recommend Canonical gets this laptop for testing since a ton of stuff is troublesome on this Raven Ridge laptop. Would be a good specimen to get support for this platform improved. There is no signal from the microphone with kernel 4.18.0-7 or 4.18.0-8. This DOES work correctly with kernel 4.15.0-34 that is still present on Cosmic after the upgrade. I recommend Canonical gets this laptop for testing since a ton of stuff is troublesome on this Raven Ridge laptop. Would be a good specimen to get support for this platform improved.
