-- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1813819 Title: The kernel speeds up and down unexpectedly Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: It initially started while I was browsing and I noticed the page load idle logo was going a bit too fast. First I ignored it assuming I was wrong or it was not significant. So i decided to test the playback time in videos and the Linux clock and sure enough, everything is about 10% tp 20% faster. So I rebooted the OS to see if problem persists.it actually got worse Everytime I rebooted. The os starts up normally but as soon as I log in, everything gets faster and faster until keyboard, mouse become unusable. A gentle tap of the keyboard spams the screen with that letter. Then I rebooted again and as if it was some kind of overflow the os is now snail pace slow. When I tap a button it outputs a letter about 1 to 2 seconds after. The mouse moves at normal speed however.unfortunately the OS is unusable and I'm typing this bug report using a different device. Please let me know if there is a way for me to get logs remotely cause as it is OS is useless. I'll try too keep rebooting to see if there is a "usable" speed that I can get logs and upload. Hopefully by the time this bug is processed I'll get the report. In the mean time please feel free to ask me anything that would help you pin point the issue. --- ApportVersion: 2.20.1-0ubuntu2.18 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USER PID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC0: behnamsaeedi 2119 F.... pulseaudio CurrentDesktop: Unity DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04 HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=02231d39-2008-4f45-a939-bc5edcae0177 InstallationDate: Installed on 2017-06-05 (603 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS "Xenial Xerus" - Release amd64 (20170215.2) MachineType: LENOVO 20175 Package: linux (not installed) ProcFB: 0 inteldrmfb ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-4.15.0-43-generic root=UUID=7d034780-07bb-489d-b701-fd652ed822fe ro quiet splash clocksource=jiffies vt.handoff=7 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.15.0-43.46~16.04.1-generic 4.15.18 RelatedPackageVersions: linux-restricted-modules-4.15.0-43-generic N/A linux-backports-modules-4.15.0-43-generic N/A linux-firmware 1.157.21 Tags: xenial Uname: Linux 4.15.0-43-generic x86_64 UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to xenial on 2019-01-18 (11 days ago) UserGroups: adm cdrom dialout dip lpadmin plugdev sambashare sudo _MarkForUpload: True dmi.bios.date: 01/21/2013 dmi.bios.vendor: LENOVO dmi.bios.version: 66CN54WW dmi.board.asset.tag: No Asset Tag dmi.board.name: INVALID dmi.board.vendor: LENOVO dmi.board.version: 31900003WIN8 STD MLT dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Tag dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: LENOVO dmi.chassis.version: Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13 dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnLENOVO:bvr66CN54WW:bd01/21/2013:svnLENOVO:pn20175:pvrLenovoIdeaPadYoga13:rvnLENOVO:rnINVALID:rvr31900003WIN8STDMLT:cvnLENOVO:ct10:cvrLenovoIdeaPadYoga13: dmi.product.family: IDEAPAD dmi.product.name: 20175 dmi.product.version: Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13 dmi.sys.vendor: LENOVO To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1813819/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
