[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1841614] Re: Doesn't start

2019-08-27 Thread Alex Murray
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears
to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security
issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to
cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy.
Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

  Hello everybody.

I have an old 32 bit acer 1672 wlmi laptop and I have installed on it
linux mint xfde 19.2 Tina with the latest kernel. I have installed
some previous kernels also to avoid make format again and again. The
latest kernel doesn't work propeprly as times as install it on. have
erased a lot of times to make the perfect installation. Sometimes pc
doesn't start at all, sometimes needs to enter the pass more than two
times and sometimes doesn't shut down.

I am waiting for your instructions.

  Thank you.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1841614]

2019-08-27 Thread Alex Murray
Thank you for using Ubuntu and taking the time to report a bug. Your
report should contain, at a minimum, the following information so we can
better find the source of the bug and work to resolve it.

Submitting the bug about the proper source package is essential. For
help see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . Additionally,
in the report please include:

1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'cat /etc/lsb-release' or System ->
About Ubuntu.
2) The version of the package you are using, via 'dpkg -l PKGNAME | cat' or by
checking in Synaptic.
3) What happened and what you expected to happen.

The Ubuntu community has also created debugging procedures for a wide
variety of packages at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures .
Following the debugging instructions for the affected package will make
your bug report much more complete. Thanks!
