Thanks for the details, it doesn't seem a release blocker/target at this point but might be a good update to get in a SRU. It's mainly about new features, so this isn't urgent. In general I think there should be some kind of process that makes sure certain packages are kept in sync with the kernel version. Thank you for your bug report. Is there anything buggy/not working when using the current 5.2 version on a 5.3 kernel?
