But still, WICD was not able to detect wireless and could able to scan the network only when network-manager was also present. One more weird thing was, wicd able to scan and detect wireless connections only when I connected the system with eth0 cable. < a class="sprite download-icon" href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.CRE8.LudoChat";>ludo Also tried by doing: sudo rmmod -f iwl3945 sudo modprobe iwl3945 disable_hw_scan=1 But it also not worked for me. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/430809 Title: [Dell Latitude D430, iwl3945] Wireless can't be activated after disabling kill switch Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in linux source package in Karmic: Fix Released Bug description: It seems that this problem keeps reappearing. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 430809] Re: [Dell Latitude D430, iwl3945] Wireless can't be activated after disabling kill switch
That's a trick question. Windows and Linux people are shouting on both sides that their system is better than the other. In the end, both are just tools. They're both a way to get a machine to do what you want it to do. Each has it's own https://couponspirit.com/uber-coupon- existing-user">selling points and ditching points. If you're cafeful with your system, either one will suffice. That being said, I am an Ubuntu user for the virus protection. However, the in-built spyware makes me question sometimes whether or not it's worth it.
