hmm, that's interesting, would u mind to post your kdump.conf here? may be
there is something wrong with it.
which phone did u working on? are you sure its really x86_64 arch?
another advice is to restart your kdump.service befor you want to use it.

hmm, which version of yours kernel and what distribution of yours, ubuntu
or RHEL?
maybe the module has some question about to runnig, hope u can provide the
detail code here.
also, you can crash the dumped vmcore, and tracing the reason why it occur.
