[kmymoney] [Bug 393204] Wishlist - Enhancement within Investment Tab
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393204 Jack changed: What|Removed |Added Ever confirmed|0 |1 Status|UNCONFIRMED |CONFIRMED Severity|normal |wishlist --- Comment #1 from Jack --- I suspect this would be more involved than you think, as it is not specific to the equity/stock/bond itself, but to every purchase transaction. However, I think this is likely to be addressed whenever the team does get to a major redo of how investments are handled. The added columns would need to also include date of purchase as that would determine the tax implications, at least in areas where there is a difference between long term and short term investments. (In the US, short term gains, under one year, are taxed as regular income, but long term gains (held over one year) are taxed at a lower rate.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

Re: Future of Alkimia

Do not get me wrong, I still think the original ideas are very good [1]. However, there were no development on features for eight years, why should it happen now or in future? Also I think we should think like: there is a problem, this should be solved with a library. Not the other way round: we want a library, how can we get people to use it? https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393299 --- Comment #2 from Paul Gover --- Aha! That works, thanks. But I had to make a trivial change somewhere before I could save the file and make the altered display permanent.
