Re: [Koha] [Koha-devel] overdues with fines

2011-03-31 Thread David Schuster
A not very good report in my opinion. Currently you have to have an overdue
for the fine to show. If you don't have an overdue it doesn't show the
borrower.

I'd love to see it rewritten to actually pull Overdues and/or Fines/fees - a
much better report and incorporate that with how overdues report currently
works and You would have a LOT of happy librarians.

Currently we run 2 separate reports and merge them to get an accurate report
of problem patrons. Yes automation is supposed to make our lives easier -
we just have to have the smart programmers know what we really want!

Thanks all! I am constantly amazed at what you can make this system do.

 Heya Nicole

Dont know the answer but I have cced the devel list so more developers will
see it. A lot have the main list on digest so for development questions, of
which documentation of features most certainly is, the devel list will get
 you a better hit rate.

I've asked before - but got no answer. Anyone know what this report is
 for? Overdues with Fines?

It's a blank section in the manual:

[Koha] subfields in cataloging framework

2011-03-31 Thread martin caris

Hi,

What do these figures correspond to the tab hidden in the configuration of
subfields for cataloging framework. (-5, -4, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, ...)?
How can I make the link between my biblio framework and my authority framework?

Thanks

Re: [Koha] Koha Digest, Vol 66, Issue 2

2011-03-31 Thread Laude, Maria
Which says exactly what was just posted but doesn't tell anyone what it
MEANS:-)

I've been trying to get programmers to speak in layman's terms ever since
I first saw this cryptic explanation:

http://koha-community.org/documentation/3-2-manual/?ch=x4488#marcbibframeworks
:

   -

   hidden
   -

allows you to select from 19 possible visibility conditions, 17 of
which are implemented. They are the following:
  -

 -9 = Future use
 -

 -8 = Flag
 -

-7 = OPAC !Intranet !Editor Collapsed
 -

-6 = OPAC Intranet !Editor !Collapsed
 -

-5 = OPAC Intranet !Editor Collapsed
 -

-4 = OPAC !Intranet !Editor !Collapsed
 -

-3 = OPAC !Intranet Editor Collapsed
 -

-2 = OPAC !Intranet Editor !Collapsed
 -

-1 = OPAC Intranet Editor Collapsed
 -

0 = OPAC Intranet Editor !Collapsed
 -

1 = !OPAC Intranet Editor Collapsed
 -

2 = !OPAC !Intranet Editor !Collapsed
 -

3 = !OPAC !Intranet Editor Collapsed
 -

4 = !OPAC Intranet Editor !Collapsed
 -

5 = !OPAC !Intranet !Editor Collapsed
 -

6 = !OPAC Intranet !Editor !Collapsed
 -

7 = !OPAC Intranet !Editor Collapsed
 -

8 = !OPAC !Intranet !Editor !Collapsed
 -

9 = Future use URL : if checked, the subfield is an URL, and can
 be clicked
 -

( ! means 'not visible' or in the case of Collapsed 'not Collapsed')

In layman's terms

0 = OPAC Intranet Editor !Collapsed equates to:

0 means it would be
visible in the opac
visibile in the intranet , ie STAFF CLIENT
visible in the editor, ie staff client cataloging marc editor
and
!collapsed means the entire tag displays, ie, is not collapsed

And which 17 are actually implemented??

[Koha] Problem circulation records

2011-03-31 Thread Sharon Jackson
Hi,
Can anyone help me please? I have a problem with some of my circulation
records.
The patron checkout session shows that an item is checked out to a patron
but there are no item details, just a due date, which I can't get rid of.
The (non-existent) item can't be checked in. Can anyone suggest how to
remove these?

thanks!
Sharon
