[Koha] How to use my customized feature in all versions of Koha

2011-07-28 Thread devendratapdia
Hi,

I will like to use my customized feature in all versions of Koha.

So I have few questions regarding the same.

1) Whether I can add my feature as a plug-in to Koha Versions?

2) Does Koha has plug-in architecture like Eclipse?

No.

No.

Those are the short answers, anyway :)

Your best bet is to allow it to be enabled/configured with system
preferences, and send it upstream. That way, it ends up in all versions.

Robin.

I volunteer to serve as newsletter editor. I don't know the qualifications
 but can offer these tidbits:

 1. I have experience editing newsletters and currently edit one for a
 community organization.

 2. I've participated in the Koha community for two years, online and at two
 KohaCons.

 3. I keep up on what's happening in the community--I read the main and
developer lists regularly and subscribe to two dozen Koha-related RSS feeds.

I plan to attend the IRC meeting on August 2 (well, August 1 here).

[Koha] Fwd: Re: Quick Consensus

2011-07-28 Thread Rémi NEDELEC

Dear Lee Philips,

I am Remi Nedelec, company Aesis Conseil, France and we got a mail
from Paul Poulain about your needs in terms of public computer
management system.

Our society provides such a solution called WebKiosk.

WebKiosk offers your users a highly secure Internet access and tools
which are adapted to your library.

Here are the features :
- a simple, pleasant and intuitive web-based control panel with users
rights management
- works as a stand-alone client or in conjunction with a print release
terminal

- works in conjunction with koha (full compatibility)
- scheduled or immediate computer reservation
- time allocation management
- free third party Internet-filtering software SquidGuard
- both Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Server and Desktop Edition
- and more !

WebKiosk is not translated in us/english language yet. The translation
file is easy to make though. Indeed, we split the language file from the
application so we can easily add a language support.

You should contact us at informati...@aesis-conseil.com to tell us more
details about your needs.

@Biblibre : thanks for the information !

[Koha] Problems Column in Inventory

2011-07-28 Thread Nicole Engard
Can anyone tell me what the last column that shows on the shelf
listing for the inventory tool is for? It is labeled as 'Problems' but
I have never seen anything but 'None' under that - and I've tested on

this column?

Re: [Koha] Problems Column in Inventory

2011-07-28 Thread Nicole Engard
That's interesting because I did an upload of a file that had a
barcode that was not in Koha and I didn't get that screen at all, what
I got was a message saying that the barcode was not found and a
confirmation that the date was updated on the other items in the file.
That list only shows if you enter criteria in the form (not if you
upload a text file).

See here: http://screencast.com/t/XgGKtYGm

 The template tells me

  [% IF ( loo.notfoundbarcode ) %]
                     p style=background: red;Not found among
 barcodes in barcodes file./p
                 [% ELSIF ( loo.notfoundkoha ) %]

                 [% ELSE %]
                     p style=background: green;None/p

So, 3 choices, none, or barcode not in Koha, or not in the file you uploaded.
