Hi Scott,
I want to translate one .tmpl to template toolkit .tt file.
Does anyone know the command for this? I have a git install.
Isn't this page of the wiki what' you're looking for:

[Koha] The Picture Box

2012-02-06 Thread Hal Bright
Does any public library use the picture option? We have been contemplating it
for some time now. Questions...do you use it for teens adults or kids only?
Does the picture go away when the patron is deleted (i.e. is the picture
connected to the patron file)? Have any privacy issues arisen?

[Koha] Anonymous Patron setting

2012-02-06 Thread Tom Hanstra
I have two instances of Koha 3.6.2 for which I am having problems
setting the AnonymousPatron value. When I attempt to make the change, I
receive an error saying that:

You need to log in again, your session has timed out.

even though it obviously has not because I can still navigate within the
System Preferences.

I've watched the logs when this happens and cannot see anything which
suggests what might be going on.

Does anyone have ideas on what might be happening and where to look. I
have this problem with multiple logins, each of which should have the
permissions to make this setting change.

Thanks,
Tom

[Koha] batch updates of bibliographic records using MarcEdit

2012-02-06 Thread Linda Culberson

All,
I was looking at Nicole's excellent tutorial at
http://networkedblogs.com/sSegb on using MarcEdit to Add Koha Items,
and I was wondering if it might be possible to select a group of records
that had errors, use MarcEdit to correct those errors, and load them
back using the Marc Import matching on the 001 or the 999c or some other
field? Has anyone done something like this or is there another way?

Thanks!

Paul,

To restart Koha without restarting the server itself, I think you just restart
Apache.

Sudo apache2ctl restart

Best,

Doug

Many thanks Garry. For the record in 3.6.1 it is at
/usr/share/koha/intranet/htdocs/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/modules/cataloguing/addbiblio.tt

One question remains from my original query: Is there a quick CLI command
to restart Koha without rebooting the server?

The .tt didn't need it, but the .inc did (maybe a quirk of my install of
memcached.)

Again tnx and br,

Koha is a web-app and as such does not run in the sense of a traditional
app, therefore it does not require restarting as such.

You are probably being caught in the caching trap in general. In order
for you changes to show up in the user's browser, either do a shift-F5
refresh or otherwise clear the browser's cache.

Your memcached cache may need flushing depending on what it is caching as
 well.

 Kind Regards,
 Chris

[Koha] Patron import as command line

Is there any documentation available on how I might run a patron import
as a command line instead of interactively loading the data via Koha tools?

[Koha] Reserve pending priority 0

2012-02-06 Thread april
System :
Koha 2.2.9, on Win 32

Issue:
Under the Circulation Reserves Pending, the priority will
occasionally get set to zero...even when the item is issued and the
cancel reserve option is selected correctly during the issuing
procedure. From that point on, onces the priority has been set to zero,
there is no way to delete the reserve from the reserves pending list.
The materials are correctly issued and tracked from that point on, but
the pending reserve request with a priority of 0 seems to stick, and
this list can grow quite large over time.

Is there a way to clear these from the list using the standard librarian
interface ?
