[Koha] FYI, Need advice of Installing Koha on openSUSE 12.1

2012-04-03 Thread Andi Sugandi
Hi all,

I made a small note of installing Koha 3.6.4 on openSUSE 12.1[0] so
hopefully we can make an update information on the wiki page[1] and
its manual in Koha package (./INSTALL.opensuse file)[2].

Really need advice how we can improve those documentations.

Thanks in advance.

Re: [Koha] openlibrary

2012-04-03 Thread Robin Sheat
The short answer is yes, if you figure out the api that's needed then
implementing that won't be too hard at all. I'm currently planning some related
work, though not exactly this, but the openlibrary APIs tens to be pretty
straightforward.

You may safely ignore those warnings.

Before I had created brdglibrary I had tried creating a few other
instances and now would like to remove them but the koha-remove doesn't
work. It appears that when it tries to drop the mysql user, it fails
because it doesn't pass the name of the instance properly to the DROP
statement. Do you know how I can fix that to make the removal of an
 instance easier?

I'm not sure about this. Someone more familiar with the packages will have
to answer.

Kind Regards,

Re: [Koha] how to get the accession number displayed in the opac search

2012-04-03 Thread Owen Leonard
Regarding OPAC Search in Koha 3.6.2, it does not show the Accession Number
in the basic search by default.

This is by design. The accession number is considered to be
information of interest only to librarians, thus not displayed by
default in the public interface.

It might be possible to do a customization of your XSLT view.
Otherwise it would require changes to your templates, something which
is not recommended.

[Koha] Need SQL query help, please

2012-04-03 Thread Carol Kresge
I have a query to find borrowers with late books that do not have email
addresses or mobiles. Now I am trying to modify it so it will show their
school from attributes if they have one but won't knock them off the list
if they don't. My modification below shows only those with no email and no
mobile and a school but knocks people off the list who have no school
attribute. How can I modify it so it includes no mobile no email and lists
school for those who have one but still includes those who don't?

WHERE issues.date_due  DATE_SUB(now(), INTERVAL 8 DAY) AND
issues.returndate IS NULL AND borrowers.mobile = ' ' AND borrowers.email =

Ohh,

This will actually work better

SELECT
surname,
firstname,
mobile,
email,
city,
biblio.title,
biblioitems.itemtype,
issues.date_due,
(select borrower_attributes.attribute from borrower_attributes where
code = 'School' group by borrowernumber) as School
FROM borrowers
LEFT OUTER JOIN borrower_attributes on
(borrower_attributes.borrowernumber = borrowers.borrowernumber)
LEFT JOIN issues on (issues.borrowernumber = borrowers.borrowernumber)
LEFT JOIN items on (items.itemnumber = issues.itemnumber)
LEFT JOIN biblioitems on (items.biblioitemnumber=biblioitems.biblioitemnumber)
LEFT JOIN biblio on (biblioitems.biblionumber=biblio.biblionumber)
WHERE issues.date_due  DATE_SUB(now(), INTERVAL 8 DAY)
AND issues.returndate IS NULL AND borrowers.mobile = ' '
AND borrowers.email = ' '
GROUP BY borrowers.borrowernumber,items.itemnumber
ORDER BY borrowers.surname asc;

And avoid double ups

[Koha] Report help

2012-04-03 Thread Nicole Engard
I think this requires some regex magic :) So, if anyone can help me
out that would be great:

How do I create a report for all records that have both of the
following items? A 942|c field that says Photographs and a leader
fields that shows item type as book?

I know that the 94$c is mapped to biblioitems.itemtype - so that's not
the issue, it's the Leader bit I need help with.
