Re: [Koha] Patron card creator --- background image and barcode

plastic card, (2 height * 3.25 width). If we prefer to locate the barcode at
the front of the card, the barcode will be covered by the background image.
Just wondering that Is there a way that we can bring the barcode to front

This happens because the barcode is added to the card before the
images. The fix is to have the images added before the barcode. It is
a trivial fix, however, finding time to do it in my current schedule
is not trivial. If you would like to open a bug for it, please include

The error is NOT there on

Operating System: Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat

 Koha installation: from packages

 Koha-common version: 3.9-1~git+20120524174206.f9352e89

I tried to find out a solution with google, but today I am unlucky (very
very few resources on Koha out there). Any hint will come as a blessing!
 Best,
 Stefano

Just so you know both those versions are unreleased versions, it looks
like you are running from the squeeze-dev repo.
(one is from february, the other is from march, you would be much
better off running from the squeeze repo)
However your error is occuring because the user you are logging in
with does not have a valid expiry date and/or birthdate set on their
record.

[Koha] Koha for consortium

2012-09-12 Thread Cronwell Cronwell

Hi everybody on the list,
I'm trying to configure koha for a consortium of libraries (with different
levels) so that work independently using library groups.
I use IndependentBranches option.
I think it's not possible to limit the editing of bibliographic records for
libraries, but I need to create users that could edit and add items of a group
of libraries.
That is, a user can create and edit items for the library group (all of them)
that is part of (as a main library), without being able to edit records of
other libraries that are not part of their group .
Is this possible?

I would also like more information about the characteristics of organization e
institution patron types.

Thanks a lot.

[Koha] Patron card creator VS Plastic I D Card printer

2012-09-12 Thread Jia-Hui

Hi, everyone: We were going to print out our patron cards to business card
quality of paper by using Patron card creator. And then covered the card by
using hot laminating pouches. However, our supervisor want us to print the
patron cards at the plastic ID card quality. SO, we are just wondering that
Will the Koha patron card creator be able to work with any plastic ID card
printer?Does anyone has similar experience? We would like to get some advises
and suggestions from you. Many many thanks!! Sincerely,Jiahui (Sophia)
