[Koha] Simplest way to print labels?
I'm about to leave the Koha project I've been volunteering on, and I need to find a better way of printing labels… What I have been doing is CSV export, then importing into LibreOffice (OpenOffice), and then formatting the sheet of labels every single time. But it's too much work — the person who replaces me will never want to do that. The problem is that we automatically split our call numbers into 3 lines, so the margins are not the standard ones. Does anyone know a simpler way of exporting labels into a template or file that is pre-formatted in terms of fonts and margins? I am not against using Word or some other commercial software. Thanks, Peter ___ Koha mailing list http://koha-community.org Koha@lists.katipo.co.nz http://lists.katipo.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/koha

Hello! We have developed this PHP app 2 years ago and we are still using it: https://github.com/alenkovich/Koha-barcode-to-PDF Let me know if it suits your needs and if you need some quick fixes ;). Thank you Jared Julien. Obviously without base biblios and format xml it could not work... I should have read the f... manual ! Re: [Koha] Simplest way to print labels?
Hi Peter A while back we had to set up printing labels and we used the label templates in Koha (found at Tools Label Creator). I set up a template by measuring the page and setting to measurements and additional information (eg, No. of columns etc.) into a new template. To use the new template, just add a new batch and then export. It will ask which template you want to use. Not sure if this is the type of template that you are after but I thought I would share it with you in case it is what you were looking for.
