Re: [Koha] Help with 'scan indexes'
Nicole Engard wrote: Can someone clarify this FAQ for me: http://manual.koha-community.org/3.8/en/searchfaq.html#advancedsearchfaq (the one on scan indexes)? Either an email to me or a patch to the manual would be great!! Nicole Hi, Nicole: in my opinion, the search ti,first-in-subfield=string allows to retrieve bib records whose ti starts with string. Since ti index (a Zebra index) is fed up by more than one MARC tag, the query is not a scan. It is an advanced search (as the manual section title says). Scan means (in my opinion) to browse an ordered list (of authors, subjects, titles...) starting from an entry point. Anyway, in http://your_catalog/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl no buttons have value 'scan indexes' or something similar... Bye. That's what I thought - that the images weren't coming from the API ... but wanted to check. Owen might know best since he made most of these changes. Confirmed. Cover images don't go through the API, so changes to the API don't affect them. HOWEVER: I question whether Koha libraries are within Amazon's terms of service in using Amazon cover images. I think this is a legal grey area, where Koha's use may be technically a violation of those terms but a violation which Amazon has never responded to. http://bibwild.wordpress.com/2008/03/19/think-you-can-use-amazon-api-for-library-service-book-covers/ -- Owen -- Web Developer Athens County Public Libraries http://www.myacpl.org ___ Koha mailing list http://koha-community.org Koha@lists.katipo.co.nz http://lists.katipo.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/koha

Im Rahmen einer Installationsparty wollen wir das freie Bibliothekssystem Koha gemeinsam installieren und einen ersten Blick in das System werfen. What does it mean? How can i solve it? I think to a problem on my database but i'm not sure. I don't know what version you are using, but member.pl line 139 for me is %{$categories_dislay{$$borrower{categorycode}}}, so I think you maybe have a borrower without a categorycode - as with the problem I saw yesterday, that shouldn't happen, so I doubt it can be repaired from in Koha. So I'd connect to mysql and find and fix the borrowers table. Re: [Koha] Help-EBSCO questions for real time availability
Couldn't they use the ILS-DI interface instead way way way less likely to break than screen scraping. If screen scraping is all their devs can manage. Then the answers are no artificial limit on users (we don't do anti features) and you can set timeout in system preferences.
