[Koha] koha- "make test fails" - help

2013-06-03 Thread satish
Hello,

I have installed koha 3.12 on Debian Squeeze ( idzebra has been
installed manually)

It is failed duing make test, but many previous mails in this forum suggested to
skip this step (ignoring make test report), and go head with make install.

currently, make install was successful and koha is working fine.

Does this create any problem in specific in near future? since we are
on production system,
is it safe for me to continue?

kindly provide your advice.

make test report log.

[Koha] New Koha packages published

2013-06-03 Thread Robin Sheat
Hi all.

I've just published new versions of both the 3.10 and 3.12 packages.
Normally I wouldn't bother announcing this, nor doing it out of cycle
like this, however there are two reasons sysadmins managing systems
using these should be aware:

 1. the packages should now work on Debian Wheezy (7.0) that was
released exactly a month ago, with no messing around. They also
will work on Debian Squeeze (6.0) and Ubuntu LTS (12.04) as
before.
 2. as a result of changes that adding this support required, when
you next update Koha from the packages, it won't happen as part
of normal system updates. Instead you'll have to force the
upgrade by doing 'apt-get dist-upgrade'. This is because there
will be a new dependency installed.

Thanks,

This may still end up with permission errors on a packaged system.
Galen's comment about having rebuild_zebra.pl being able to do this is
the best method. We could also add it to koha-rebuild-zebra to make it
easy for the packages.

As an aside, probably the best way to do this at the moment with the
packages would be to use koha-shell to get an environment set up for the
particular Koha instance.

Of course. They're pretty straight forward. You can find our nagios
stuff in the catalyst Koha git repo, in the 'nagios' branch. Or you can
browse them here:

It does that because you begin you query with items table.
Perhaps this modified query could help you, but without homebranch
information

SELECT
  biblio.biblionumber,biblio.author,biblio.title,biblio.datecreated
FROM
  biblioitems

I have the following report:

SELECT  biblio.biblionumber,biblio.author,biblio.title,biblio.datecreated
FROM items LEFT JOIN biblioitems on
(items.biblioitemnumber=biblioitems.biblioitemnumber) LEFT JOIN biblio
on (biblioitems.biblionumber=biblio.biblionumber)   WHERE
items.homebranch='VWML' AND DATE_SUB(CURDATE(),INTERVAL 7 DAY) <=
biblio.datecreated
  ORDER BY biblio.title ASC

But it only returns information if there are item records attached, what I
really want is a list of everything catalogued. A lot of our biblios don't
have items attached.
What's the best way to do this?

I do not have a solution for right this moment, but I am pleased to report
that C & P will be developing the ability to modify the budget at receipt

It's ultimately a local setup thing. The directories in the new
version you were given conform to how the Debian packages lay things
out, so it's a *common* local setup nowadays. However, the new
version still isn't quite right for Debian packages, as the reset
shouldn't be run as root but as the user that owns the Koha instance's
files.

I think the simplest thing to do would be teaching rebuld_zebra.pl how
to reset the indexes, which in turn means that the documentation
wouldn't have to cite the specific path to zebra-biblios.cfg and
zebra-authorities.cfg.

[Koha] need manual confirmation

2013-06-03 Thread Nicole Engard
Hello all,

I have never done this before, but I got an email telling me to update this:

$ zebraidx -c /etc/koha/zebradb/zebra-authorities-dom.cfg -g iso2709
-d authorities init
$ zebraidx -c /etc/koha/zebradb/zebra-biblios.cfg -g iso2709 -d biblios init

on this page: http://manual.koha-community.org/3.12/en/resetzebra.html

to this:

$ sudo zebraidx -c /etc/koha/sites/*library*/zebra-authorities-dom.cfg  -g
iso2709 -d authorities init
$  sudo zebraidx -c /etc/koha/sites/*library*/zebra-biblios.cfg  -g iso2709
-d biblios init

where *library* was the koha site (installation) name.

Can I get some confirmation that this is how it is for everyone and not
just a local setup thing?
