[Koha] Koha Case Sensitive
Hi all, I'm using Koha 3.12.5 and Zebra. I have notice that, when I search for the Call number of a item, Koha doesn't make difference between: CALLNUMBER1 callnumber1 It seems that it doesn't recognize uppercase and lowercase. Is it possible? Is it Koha case sensitive? Have I to set up something in the Administration preferences? Thanks for your help! Re: [Koha] Importing items problem
Hi Željko, glad you got it working! Interestingly it did not work with field 952 only, both 952 and 995 had to be present in the record. Yes, that sounds quite odd. If you just imported the records and links between bibs and auths are missing (they also aren't native of Koha if I'm right, as you mentioned a legacy software), well, that is the expected behaviour. You should link them running link_bibs_with_authorities.pl . For future linking there are a few options you may want to setup ( see http://manual.koha-community.org/3.14/en/administration.html#authprefs ). By the way, run the script on a test environment first; several checks to your catalog would be needed (or recommended at least) after its execution. [Koha] How to add additional Z39.50 encodings
Hello In Koha Z39.50 servers administation I have added a new server and can fetch data from it. However, it is a Japanese server and the encoding should be EACC. Koha doesn't offer this encoding. If I use UTF-8 then all the Japanese characters are returned as garbled text like so: 100$1i$^i$si$Si$-i$Ni$Mi$3(B / | $1i%Ri%ci%/i%^i%si%Si%-(B $1i%N(B $1i%Mi%3(B. | hyakumanbiki no neko. I have followed these steps already to set apache/mysql to utf8: http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Encoding_and_Character_Sets_in_Koha But I do not see anything in the wiki documentation about adding encodings. This discussion seems related although there is no conclusion/solution: http://web.archiveorange.com/archive/v/fuF7ADPjh9Qi1sG4I7HZ Can anyone please point in the right direction to add EACC, ISO-2022-jp, EUC and other encodings?
