[Koha] OpacNav

2014-09-02 Thread Mildred Amita Odongo
Good morning

On my OPAC page the contents of OPACNav jumped down to the bottom of the screen
after being in the right position for a long time (More than 2 years). I have
tried to apply using style=width:400px to reduce the width of the list in the
OPACNav since I had thought that it may have been too wide to fit on the right
side of the OPAC. There is an active OpacMainUserBlock at the centre which I
tried reducing its width but there was not change experienced.

I need the content of the OPACNav back in their right position. Could anyone
help?

Kind Regards
Mildred

Re: [Koha] possible bug with stage MARC import

2014-09-02 Thread vikram zadgaonkar
I think problem may be with data mapping. Could be one or two columns are
not assigned field nos.
On 13-Aug-2014 11:07 AM, Steve Sowder sow...@andrews.edu wrote:

I can't get past 0% when more than about 500 records being loaded.
Sometimes even as few as 200 records it is stuck at 0%. (Even after

So, I open another instance and look a Staged record Management.
It tells me that the load is Staged so I click on the file name and then
on the Import button. (But, make sure that the match rules, etc are want
 you want.)

Even then it does not match on the obvious matches so I reverse/revert the
load and then load it again. Then it matches and all is well.

 This is also 3.16.02.

weird, it should get to 100% in no time since there were only 6000 MARC

 another

next 25 and import the rest and voila I was able to import the whole
 thing.
So, I isolated the 25 records. imported them in two's, until I get to this

[Koha] Item records attached to the wrong biblio - is this possible?

2014-09-02 Thread Elaine Bradtke
I think this is a legacy of an older version of Koha. Possibly Koha 3.10.02

There was an incorrect setting in our frameworks that resulted in newly
created catalogue records containing multiple 999$c fields (Biblionumbers)
(November 2012) We discovered this, and fixed the setting and eventually
removed the extra biblionumbers when we found they were resulting in false
positive search results.
Now my colleague tells me there are catalogue records that seem to have
gotten their item records swapped.
The one that I looked at this morning was part of that batch of records
that had multiple biblionumbers. We're going to check to see if the other
records that were created in the same time frame have similar problems.
I'm wondering if having multiple biblionumbers caused the item records to
get scrambled? I seem to recall Koha changed the way item records were
attached and processed, though not when this happened.
Our cataloguer is a meticulous worker, and it's very uncharacteristic for
him to have made such a mess of things. In fact, he's the one who spotted
the problem and brought it to my attention. I would like to be able to
assure him that this randomization of item records isn't going to happen
again.

[Koha] Report help needed - modification date

2014-09-02 Thread Elaine Bradtke
How do I filter records based on the MARC 005? DATE AND TIME OF LATEST
TRANSACTION
biblio.timestamp doesn't do it.

This is what I have:
SELECT

biblio.biblionumber,items.barcode,biblio.author,biblio.title,biblio.timestamp,biblio.datecreated
FROM items LEFT JOIN biblioitems on
(items.biblioitemnumber=biblioitems.biblioitemnumber) LEFT JOIN biblio on
(biblioitems.biblionumber=biblio.biblionumber) WHERE biblio.timestamp =
'2014-05-01' AND biblio.timestamp = '2014-05-30' ORDER BY
biblio.biblionumber asc

In the guided report the option I chose was Modification date /
biblio.timestamp

But after testing this I've discovered that it isn't using the date in the
005. I'm not sure where the Modification date / biblio.timestamp
information is coming from, it's neither the creation date, nor the
modification date, but some other date entirely.

I'm trying to hunt down a batch of records modified on a certain date.
Thanks for any help.

They're basically done when I remember. At the moment, squeeze-dev is
out of date because master doesn't build, as the test cases won't run on
squeeze. I have a plan for fixing that (a new version of Test::More,
most likely), and when that's done will be making a new version.

Keep in mind that the squeeze-dev package is tracking master (when it's
updated), and so there is totally no guarantee nor even expectation that
it will be bug free, stable, and that it won't steal one sock out of
every pair. Use at your own risk.
