[Koha] [Koha 16.05] CGI Error: "script not found or unable to stat: /usr/lib/cgi-bin/img..."

2016-08-04 Thread Craig Butosi
Hi all,

Koha 16.05.02, package install on Ubuntu 14.04.

I tried to manually run some cronjobs for testing purposes before we go live in
September. One of these is fines.pl, which is located at
/usr/share/koha/bin/cronjobs/fines.pl

However,

When running the following at the commandline

$export KOHA_CONF=/etc/koha/sites/library2/koha-conf.xml [library2 is our
instance name, btw]
$export PERL5LIB=/usr/share/koha/lib

$/usr/share/koha/bin/cronjobs/fines.pl

No fines are posted to patron account (yes, all sysprefs, circ rules, etc are
set-up correctly).

Navigating to intranet-error.log, I find the following:

[Thu Aug 04 17:10:25.442365 2016] [cgi:error] [pid 2728] [client
209.20.18.21:18385] script not found or unable to stat: /usr/lib/cgi-bin/img,
referer: http://rel.rcmusic.ca:8080/cgi-bin/koha/members/pay.pl?borrowernumber=1

I haven't the foggiest why it is searching /usr/lib/cgi-bin/img or how that
happened. It's a non-existent directory. Should it not be trying to search
elsewhere?

Please help! :S

something about using the tags ... ??

Let's just call it a work in progress :-)

Re: [Koha] Kohacon16 Vs Koha 3.22

2016-08-04 Thread Bob Birchall

Hi Mhango, welcome.

Kohacon16 was the International Koha Conference held in Thesaloniki,
Greece. You can view the proceedings here:

http://www.livemedia.com/kohacon16

Koha 3.22 is a recent stable release of Koha. It is the release prior
to the current stable release, Koha 16.05. For information about Koha
versions, review the Release Notes available from
http://koha-community.org.

Koha 3.16 is an older stable release which is no longer officially
supported.

Information about Item Types and Authorised Values can be found in the
Koha manual. Authority Records are also described there.

http://translate.koha-community.org/manual/3.22/en/html-desktop/

I hope this helps.

Ok, I cleaned up the issue with the code formatting by using tags, so
you don't have to worry about the four spaces, and I added a bit of
clarification in the 'caution' part at the top of the page.

Oh, that makes so much sense, Barton--thank you for clarifying! And thank
you *so* much for creating this page so quickly--I was able to edit the
page & remove the stray tilde! Looks like we're cooking with gas, and I'm

I'm cataloging nothing but photos today, so I won't have a chance to write
& test new macros in real records, but I'll be cataloging a mix of
materials tomorrow, so I'll start writing some new macros for books & more
common materials then, and will try adding them to our shiny new page!

I have misplaced Nicole's new email address--hopefully she'll see this,

the manual.

If you can log in, you should be able to edit. :-)

I meant that they haven't been verified -- there are a few things that I'm
not sure about:

   - Did the wiki do anything funny when I pasted in the delimiter
   character?
   - Could there be any other copy/paste errors?
   - Anything I don't know about ... ?

... it's a new page, no one has /ever/ pasted a macro from that page into
the advanced editor. Once someone has, and tells me that it works for them,
I'll relax that wording. :-)

[Koha] customizing self check out cgi-bin/koha/sco/sco-main.pl help message

2016-08-04 Thread schnydszch
I've been trying to figure out what to put in either SCOUserJS or OPACUserJS.
Right now, instruction on how to use self check out can only be seen if the
small help button is clicked. I'm trying to move the content of that in a
more readable place, probably appending (?) in the main block (?),
inspecting the elements, I see div class sco_entry, and I'm not sure that's
the right selector in JQuery. Anybody who have tried putting instructions on
how to use self check out that is not in SelfCheckHelpMessage which can only
be read when the Help button is clicked? Can someone lead me on what to
check? Or is it even possible? Appreciating your responses on my query.
Cheers!

Yes, it would be enough, if you don't have subscriptions or holdings linked to
the deleted biblio records. Alternatively, you can build a query which
produces a list of biblionumber, then use this list in Tools > Batch record
deletion (no reindexing required).
