[Koha] Koha: Wipe Out of Data on Koha Demo Site- reg

2016-08-12 Thread Mohd. Azim
Dear All,

A very Good Morning to all of you. I have a query regarding the Demo site
of koha, I am using the Demo site of koha on Koha Community website but all
my data (Patrons, Libraries, Members etc) wiped out from the server on
next day.

Can anyone tell me how I can save my data for few days or for few months on
the Demo site of koha for testing purpose only.

Thanks.

Currently, Ubuntu 14.04 LTS is the recommendation for Koha, not Ubuntu 12.04
LTS.

Thank you very much! Yeah, we will make it memorable. We will update you of the
plans. Will gather the soonest local stakeholders on this event and plan for
KohaCon17. Although I/we have something in mind, maybe previous KohaCon
organizers can say a thing or two on their experiences organizing KohaCon. See
you June 2017!

[Koha] Kohacon 2017 at at Ayala Museum, Philippines

2016-08-12 Thread Mirko Tietgen
Hello everyone,

the deadline to hand in proposals to host Kohacon 2017 has ended.

We had two bids. Due to our policy to switch continents each year
only one of them was valid. That means we can skip the voting process.

Kohacon 2017 will take place at Ayala Museum, Makati, Philippines in
June 2017. You can find more info at
https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/KohaCon17_Proposals

Congratulations to the organizing group, we are looking forward to
another exciting Koha event.

Cheers,

Mirko

[Koha] Restrict access to SCO

2016-08-12 Thread clint.deckard
I would like to restrict access to the Self Checkout to just a single ip
address.
I believe the Apache mod_authz_host module is the answer but am unsure
just how to implement it in a multi-instance set-up.

I would appreciate any tips on how to do it.

Thank you,

Re: [Koha] Importing record to koha thorugh marcedit

2016-08-12 Thread clint.deckard

Greetings Mehvish,
Have you had a look in the manual, there is some guidance for using
MarcEdit there

http://manual.koha-community.org/3.20/en/marceditexcel.html

It will be easier to help if you provide a few more details eg. what
version of Koha you are using, what data you are trying to convert etc.
It may also help if you can provide an example of the the original data
as well.

Best wishes,
Clint.

(I still have no idea why the side bar is so low on the page,

though...>_<)

The only difference I could see when comparing it to others on the
wiki was that other pages have categories defined at the bottom of the
page. When I added the 'tips and tricks' category to this page the
sidebar went back where it should be.

It sounds like it's a bug in the wiki templates.

[Koha] Using perl module Koha::Contrib::Tamil koha-auth

2016-08-12 Thread Pedro Amorim
Hello everyone,

After importing biblio records, I know need to create authority records
from those biblios, and link them respectively.

I am using Koha Contrib Tamil perl modules from Frederic Demians
http://search.cpan.org/dist/Koha-Contrib-Tamil/ which looks like exactly
what I want:
1) Extract authorities from the biblios;
2) Import them in Koha;
3) Link authorities and biblios together.

I managed to install the perl module through CPAN and got through steps 1)
and 2) fairly quickly, however I am struggling with step 3), as I am having
two problems I think:

1) For many biblios, the following message is presented:
WARNING: authority not found -- 353.9(469)(094.4)

But said authority indeed exists and is indexed.

2) After about 400 biblios processed (I think), it throws this error and it
hangs printing "405" forever:

*** unhandled exception in callback:
*** Quantifier follows nothing in regex; marked by <-- HERE in m/* <--
HERE / at
/usr/local/share/perl/5.14.2/Koha/Contrib/Tamil/Authority/LinkBiblioTask.pm
line 77.
*** ignoring at /usr/local/lib/perl/5.14.2/AnyEvent/Impl/Glib.pm line 166.
 405
 405
 405
...

So my question is, has anyone used this open source module before and how
successfull where they?

Thank you,

Pedro Amorim
