Re: [Koha] Up-to-dateness of Koha database analysis by SchemaSpy

2016-12-27 Thread Katrin

I have seen errors like this when trying to restore into a database
where the web installer already created the tables for Koha. If that's
the case, try to drop and create the database and then load your backup.

Hope this helps,

Katrin

Hi Ahmad,

it's hard to tell for us where the problem is without the error
messages. Sometimes you will get warnings that can be safely
ignored. Can you send them with a new subject to the list?

I will look into getting it up-to-date.

It may take a few days though, as I work through what

I will also work out whether we can display the schema

If you see no links on that first page you might want to try a force reload to
bust your browsers cache. It's just an index.html of links now

Re: [Koha] Up-to-dateness of Koha database analysis by SchemaSpy

2016-12-27 Thread Michael Kuhn

Hi Chris

Here we go, all up to date and linked from

http://schema.koha-community.org/

I don't see no links there... it is not clear to me the tables of what
version this page shows because I can't see the version number anwhere
(though I guess it's the master resp. current development version).

I'll run the schema for 16.11 tonight.

But master, 16.05 and 3.22 are all up to date there

I see everything is there now, even back to Koha 3.18!

* http://schema.koha-community.org/3_18/
* http://schema.koha-community.org/3_20/
* http://schema.koha-community.org/3_22/
* http://schema.koha-community.org/16_05/
* http://schema.koha-community.org/16_11/
* http://schema.koha-community.org/master (I guess this is the current
development version)

We can add a patch to koha so that each version links directly to the
right schema, but for now I think the landing page will do.

Yes, this is a good idea! Or link it directly from
https://koha-community.org/documentation/

Many thanks & best wishes: Michael

Re: [Koha] Problems with migrating from Koha 16.05 to 16.11

2016-12-27 Thread David Whelchel
Merry Christmas and A happy New Year Chris,

Have fun with the 7 year old I remember those days!

Don't get me wrong about the flame - I believe Koha is a superior product and
without people like you it would not exist. My intention is highlight a problem
I see with the documentation and the necessary transition between versions and
ever changing OS permutations. But I will probably continue to think that there
is a place for both open and proprietary software (just a bigger smorgasbord to
choose from ;->)

So here is what I am doing today - put on some good music, get a fresh download
of debian-8.6.0-amd64-netinst.iso, follow the instructions on
https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_on_Debian using the wget -q -O-
http://debian.koha-community.org/koha/gpg.asc | sudo apt-key add - for the
package install and report back my results. I am nothing if I am not persistent.

Thanks again Chris for all your hard work I really mean it.

Subject: Re: [Koha] Problems with migrating from Koha 16.05 to 16.11

Hi again

Further to my last email, I just tested an upgrade of Koha to 16.11.00 on
Debian Jessie (8, latest stable)

Here is my screencap

https://asciinema.org/a/9crqtkdx9d9g5lngoit6aingh

(apologies for the pause at the start, I had to help my 7 year old with roblox,
it pauses at zsh for a bit, then it should just all start rolling)

As you can see it went smooth. Maybe you can screencap what happens with yours
so we can figure out what is different

Re: [Koha] Repeat this Tag not working

2016-12-27 Thread anjoze
This is for sure a bug.
I've setup a completely new VM:
Debian GNU/Linux 8.6 (jessie)
MariaDB  Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.5.53
Apache/2.4.10 (Debian)

Installed the defaults in fr-FR

Choose Cataloging -> New Record -> Default Framework
Filed the mandatory fields.
If I try to duplicate 701 it will jump to the top of the page
If I try to duplicate 711 I have no problem.

Conclusion is: If I try to duplicate any field that contains a Drop Menu
(with authorized values) it will jump to the top of page. If there is no
Drop Menu it will clone ok.
If I choose a value from the Authorized Values, than In can duplicate it.
But, when I save it, that fields are not saved.
Can anyone confirm this please.
Thanks.

[Koha] doubt regarding marc21 tag related to handling multiple imprint info

2016-12-27 Thread Tanzeem M.B
 I've got a group of related information in separate columns . imprint,
Publishername, pulisher place, pubyear and distributer name
In the imprint column details about press is given, for some records only
eg. Academic Press
can u help me handle the info so that correct tags are assigned to each
I have a confusion because imprint is a common term regarding all of
publisher,distributer .
