[Koha] Unknown subscription frequency

2018-04-10 Thread Maria Hedberg
Hi,

According to the manual on
https://koha-community.org/manual/17.11/html/08_serials.html

there's supposed to be some pre-defined options for Frequency. Two of the
pre-defined options are supposed to be:

"Without periodicy: some very specific (usually high level science journals)
don't have a true periodicity. When you subscribe to the title, you subscribe
for 6 issues, which can arrive in 1 year... or 2... There is no regularity or
known schedule.
Unknown select this if none of the other choices are relevant"

What is the difference in the settings of the two?

If there is no frequency, and there is no pattern either, how do you define an
"empty" number pattern?

Kind regards,
Maria

Re: [Koha] How to clear message que?

2018-04-10 Thread Barton Chittenden
Vimal,

The 'usage' function isn't terribly clear on this, but I believe you want

/usr/share/koha/bin/cronjobs/cleanup_database.pl --mail DAYS

which will delete entries in the message_queue older than DAYS.

[Koha] Bath edit record to change one character in a control field

2018-04-10 Thread Caroline Cyr-La-Rose

Hi all,

Is there a way to use the batch record edit / MARC modification template
tools to change specific characters in the leader or other control fields?

I want to add audience information to a bunch of records. When I try to
make my MARC modification template, I can't enter let's say "Add/Update
fields 008/22 with value j". The "Field" field is limited to 3
characters, so I can't write 008/22 and the "subfield" field is limited
to 1 character so I can't write 22.

Thanks for your help!

[Koha] added new library branch -- lost all collections

2018-04-10 Thread Jack Boulier
I have ubuntu xenial and koha 17.11.04. I added a new library to the database
and added some books to that library. When I did a search for the text I could
not find them as a superuser. The search would always query the original
database and not the new branch. In the database I was able to locate the
records with an SQL query. I attempted to run the koha-rebuild-zebra library
attempting to get the collection updated. Now I have lost the entire
collection. However the database is still complete in mariadb.
Now I can not locate any items in the database.
ThanksJack
