Hello all,

We have almost the same structure. Just install koha in one place and
create different branches.

Re: [Koha] branch libraries

2019-04-09 Thread Bob Birchall

Bula Luisa,
You only need one installation of Koha.
On the Administration page of the staff client, you will find the
Libraries link where you can configure each of the branch libraries.
Then patrons at each branch will be able to search the entire
collection. Koha has very powerful functionality for handling
transactions between the branches.

Be sure to read the manual:
https://koha-community.org/manual/18.11/en/html/
The section on branches is here:
https://koha-community.org/manual/18.11/en/html/administration.html#libraries

Best wishes for your installation.

[Koha] Development Idea - Improve functionality of macros in Advanced Cataloging Editor

2019-04-09 Thread Johnson, Barbara
Hi everyone,

Bedford Public Library is looking for other libraries to assist in sponsoring a
development to improve the functionality of macros in the Advanced Cataloging
Editor. The macros would be stored in the database and not lost when clearing
the browser cache. And they would be private by default- for use by the person
who created it. But, they have the option to make that macro public which
means all staff could see it. ByWater gave us a quote of $3,000 for the
development. Are there other libraries out there that would be interested in
helping to sponsor this development?

Thanks,
Barbara

[Koha] Development idea - Create digest option for auto renewal notices

2019-04-09 Thread Johnson, Barbara
Hi everyone,

Bedford is considering a development that would create a digest option for auto
renewal notices in order to send only one digest notice instead of a separate
renewal notices for every single title. ByWater provided a quote of $5,000.
The development would be based on bug #18532
(https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=18532) which would
create auto renewal notices as a patron messaging preference that would include
a digest option. We'd love to hear from other libraries that could help fund
this development, even if it is only a small amount.

Thanks,

Barbara
