Re: [Koha] Translating string at Koha manual 16.11
Thank you Jonathan, BWS, Chris, Zeno, Stefano and others. Back to my first question. Allow me use another example to explain it. In English manual PDF format, it works fine at page 484 just before 4.10. Patron Search http://translate.koha-community.org/manual/16.11/en/pdf/Koha-16.11-koha-manual-en.pdf The last two .png files looks good. https://koha-community.org/manual/16.11/html/images/patrons/dischargerestrict.png, and https://koha-community.org/manual/16.11/html/images/patrons/dischargehistory.png However in html format, it missed picture for Note You can style the PDF using the NoticeCSS preference. https://koha-community.org/manual/16.11/html/ch04s09.html#patrondischarge However, in Traditional Chinese, there has no PDF, only html. http://translate.koha-community.org/manual/16.11/zh_TW/html/04_patrons.html#patron-discharges Previous two .png files are not converted properly. Just leave the bad .po words: The patron will have a restriction added to their accountDischarge restriction And a history of discharges will be added to the 'Discharge' tabDischarge history Now, I know the 'Discharge restriction' means dischargerestrict.png. Luckly, another .png above is converted correctly. https://koha-community.org/manual/16.11/html/images/patrons/dischargeletter.png http://translate.koha-community.org/manual/16.11/zh_TW/html/_images/dischargeletter.png Chinese html works fine, thank you Koha. Chinese, Simplified and Traditional, could stored with UTF-8. Presently, we do store Traditional Chinese in UTF-8 at Taiwan. However some very old system still using BIG-8 around Taiwan and HK, Singapore, etc. Most Integrated Library System at China use GB 2312, GB stand for GuoBiao which means national standard, store Simplified Chinese. 2015-12-11 8:32 GMT+08:00 David Cook : > > I wonder if the Romanization of CJK languages would be a thing we'd need to > consider as well... we don't support any CJK libraries, so I'm not sure how > those libraries store their data... whether its as ideograms or in romanized > text... -- Wishing you all the best. . . . Hi, At this sentence So, it does not know what the 245$a means, neither what 200$f (those 2 fields being both the title in MARC21 and UNIMARC) It should read as 200$a instead of 200$f This sentence is found at 4. Re: [Koha] On the choice of MARC-format
Good question! Check your UKRMARC. Where is your title proper? 245(MARC21) or 200(UNIMARC). Your MARC choice must keep harmony with Z39.50 copy cataloguing. Taiwan libraries choose MARC21, because Taiwan's Z39.50 servers provide MARC21 records only. However China libraries have to choose UNIMARC, because their Z39.50 servers provide CNMARC(based on UNIMARC) records. 2014-05-12 18:05 GMT+08:00 zolot : > Hello all, > > "Koha 3.14. Put at this subfiled if you use MARC21.
