Re: [Koha] Import items not importing items

2011-11-08 Thread Kate
I seem to be having a similar issue. Trying to migrate data from one Koha
install (3.00.01.005) to the latest version on a different server but
losing the items in the process. Does anyone have any suggestions?

thanks,
kate

Re: [Koha] Import items not importing items

2011-11-09 Thread Kate
Thanks Hugo, have now double-checked the branch names and the item types
match (BK became BKS!) and now the records seem to have the items attached.
Still no search results from the OPAC but it's a start! Thanks for your
help .

Re: [Koha] Show us your OPACs

2012-05-17 Thread Kate
Not my OPAC, but I like what they've done with the national archives
library site: http://tna.koha-ptfs.co.uk

One of the things that I've been working on sporadically is a CSS template
for koha opac customisations - basically a skeleton stylesheet to use as a
starting point for modifying the look of the OPAC (with lots of comments to
use as a guide). Is this something that would be of interest to anyone (or
is this something that someone has already created that they'd like to
share/collaborate on)?

thanks,
Kate

[Koha] Specific Dimensions for Avery 5428 Self-Adhesive Labels When Using Spine Label Creator

2016-06-26 Thread Kate Cunningham
Does anyone else use this product when creating spine labels? Is there a
way to upload the template into the creator? I thought I'd reach out to the
community before getting out my ruler.
Thanks!

[Koha] Koha 3.8.1 'zebra searching' failure

2012-06-17 Thread Kate Jones
Hi, our Koha at the Library of National Botanic Garden of Wales has been
working with no problems for over 2 years. The system has been run,
maintained, backed up etc on a local server by Library volunteers who
have no IT background, and with no tech support.Installed by us,
using kohalivecd, and running in Ubuntu.

The company who provide IT support for the Garden's network and servers
have finally agreed to take on tech support for the Library, so we
offered them our complete and up-to-date back up files, but they have
instead chosen to migrate the system themselves and have installed Koha
3.8.1 on a new server. I am not aware which version of Linux they are
using.

So far, so good... BUT the Zebra searching isn't working, in fact it's
not clear that Zebra is there at all, but when I tried switching
'NoZebra' so as not to use Zebra, it still didn't work. In addition,
the Z39.50 searching isn't working either.

I have now asked the IT people to switch us back to our old system while
they sort it out, which they've done, so at least we now do have a
functioning Koha again, but wonder if anyone out there in the Koha
community has had any problems with 3.8.1 and Zebra, or can suggest
something for me to pass on to the Tech Support company.

Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

Kate Jones
