Hello,
Not you did not lost your work.
You have to start ES everytime you reboot your server and reindex again.

Try to set ES as a service

Also, try this:
sudo wget -qO - https://artifacts.elastic.co/GPG-KEY-elasticsearch | sudo
apt-key add -

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install elasticsearch
to start elasticsearch you can do it :

1. sudo -i service elasticsearch start
or
2. sudo systemctl start elasticsearch

to see if it working: curl 'http://localhost:9200/?pretty'
I hope this helps.

Re: [Koha] Installing ElasticSearch

2020-09-14 Thread Luis Moises Rojas
Hello Nicolas,

As we said to Charlies, stay with zebra for a while

But, here you have:

0. Remember ElasticSearch use port 9200 and kibana: 5201

1. if you like, first create a folder (ELK) and two subfolders (one for
elasticsearch and one for kibana)
2. Download both (https://www.elastic.co/downloads/)
3. On each file click and use: Extract to here
4. If you wish rename the ES and Kibana and placed them in the ELK
5. To start ES and KIBANA
  yourpath_for_ES/bin/ ./elasticsearch
  yourpath_for_Kibana/bin/ ./kibana

6. Remember: you have to change in the administration (Koha) to use:
ElasticSearch.

7. One problem: we still have problems when we try to use some search.

Re: [Koha] Installing ElasticSearch

2020-09-14 Thread Luis Moises Rojas
Morning Charles,
We suggest to use zebra for a while.
but here you have:

1. DownLoad Elastic Search: https://www.elastic.co/downloads/
2. Also Must Download Kibana
3. After downloading, just go to the Download Folder, click de files and
select: Extract to here
if you wish, create a folder first (we use ELK) and put there kibana
(create a folder) and elasticsearch (create a folder)
4. You have to start elasticsearch and kibana:
   your path/bin/ ./elasticsearch
   your path/bin/ ./kibaba

Elasticsearch uses port 9200, and kibana 5201

On your browser : 127.0.0.1:9200 to see if it works
or you can use curl (better use browser).

This is the easiest way.

We have Koha 19.11.08.000 on ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS, zebra version Zebra
2.0.59
We want to upgrade to zebra 2.1.14 to see if we can fix our sort error.

Also, we had installed ElasticSearch Nodos: localhost:9200 | Estado: en

koha_bijrdlibrary_authorities (conteo: -1)
What -1 means?

It is possible to upgrade Zebra to fix it?

Thanks.

Q. How did you install Koha and how did you upgrade? The search/indexing

A. How did we install Koha? That was a long time ago and i was not here.
The Upgrade:

/etc/apt/sources.list.d/koha.list
sudo apt-get clean all
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo systemctl restart koha-common

The reindex: koha-rebuild-zebra -a -b -v -r -x -f bijrdlibrary

Q. behaviour should usually not change that much, but there are some things
that depend on server side setup. Did you move your database to a fresh
installation or did you updating your existing one?

A. Upgrating Mysql: Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.7.31,

Q. What do you mean, but it's not recognized? Where should it be sorting?

A. Take a look to our OPAC and try to search o find something:

[Koha] Searching Error alphabetically, again

2019-08-02 Thread Luis Moises Rojas
Hello everybody,

We are using koha 19.05.02 in spanish, before that 18.xx.
After the upgrade, when we try search, i.e: A or a, the result is:
(By title)
1. La la la
2. Nam
3. Icaro el enfermo
4. Agatha
5. Album

As you can see, it is not in order.
It was working ok before the upgrade.

We checked the sort-string-utf.chr and the word-string-utf.chr and
everything is it OK.

Any Help?

Thanks

[Koha] Next Page in Authorities Search

2019-07-25 Thread Luis Moises Rojas
Hello,
When searched authorities by name (or any order), if you click next page,
only move one record forward and if you click previous page it does the
same, move backforward just one record.

We had checked the config, and rebuild the DB.

Thanks.

Hello everybody,
Thanks to all, thanks katrin

are you using the AutoBarcode system preference to generate your barcodes?:

If you do, maybe there is a barcode in your db breaking things.
select max(barcode) from items

That was the problem: Two items (barcode) were breaking the rule.
We deleted and everything is OK again

Well,I had checked, yes there are at lot Notices and slips, but and here is
the "but":

1. If you go (select) module: circulation, code: DUE (OR any other), name:
Item Due Reminder and press: EDIT, NOTHING, NOTHING appear.
2. But if i go to development server, everything is complete OK.
3. If we select all the data from the development and PASTE IT into the
KOHA which is in production : Data is not saved.
4. We can not select any item on the production

5. If everything it is OK, how do we say to koha the notices you be sent
when the date is over?

P.D: koha ver. 17.05

Re: [Koha] Error returning a book

2017-08-22 Thread Luis Moises Rojas
Data problems

Some of your tables have problems with their auto_increment values which
may lead to data loss. *You should not ignore this warning*. The problem is
that InnoDB does not keep auto_increment across SQL server restarts (it is
only set in memory). So on server startup the auto_increment values are set
to max(table.id)+1.

See the related wiki page
<https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/DBMS_auto_increment_fix> to know how
to avoid this problem.

But will still have the error:

issue in your system. You must ask an administrator to take a look at the

Re: [Koha] Error returning a book

2017-08-22 Thread Luis Moises Rojas
Is this error the same:
Some of your tables have problems with their auto_increment values which
may lead to data loss. *You should not ignore this warning*. The problem is
that InnoDB does not keep auto_increment across SQL server restarts (it is
only set in memory). So on server startup the auto_increment values are set
to max(table.id)+1.

2017-08-09 Thread Luis Moises Rojas
Hello everybody,

If we call a book, and selected EDIT REGISTER, we changed some data (i.e,
the title), when we saved it: NOTHING happen.

Changes are not saved and without any error.

Any idea?

Re: [Koha] How to return from version 17.05 to 16.05

2017-08-09 Thread Luis Moises Rojas
Hello,
This is the error: DBD::mysql::st fetchrow_hashref failed: fetch() without
execute() [for Statement
  "SELECT biblioitemnumber, marcxml
FROM biblioitems WHERE biblionumber=? " with
  ParamValues:
0='27382'] at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Biblio.pm line 1327.

Maybe is because the database is in one version and koha in other?

Re: [Koha] How to return from version 17.05 to 16.05

2017-08-09 Thread Luis Moises Rojas
Hello,

Finally we have reinstalled 16.05
We ran:
sudo koha-upgrade-schema libraryname
sudo koha-rebuild-zebra -v -f libraryname
sudo koha-rebuild-zebra -a -f libraryname

In sudo koha-upgrade-schema we have severals "Select" errors.
When you try to find a BOOK it says: No found
If we search an author says: IN REPOSITORY.

Why?

Maybe is because we have to do this: "You need to fix your data in order to
get around this and implement the init script"

But where is init script and how to used it?

[Koha] Insitu borrower

2017-07-25 Thread Luis Moises Rojas
Hello everybody.

When a user use a book insitu, on the issues table, the fields
onsite_checkout =1
and the date_due is set to one hour later, but as soon as the book is
RETURN, the fields onsite_checkout is set to 0.

Questions:

1. Why the date_due is set to one hour and how to avoid this?
2. how to avoid the onsite_checkout =0? This is because we need to generate
some reports with onsite_checkout =1, it mean: insitu.

Thanks

2017-07-06 Thread Luis Moises Rojas
Hello everybody,
We have our main library and several libraries all over the country.
Now we need these things:

1. Every librarian can see all books (that is easy).
2. A librarian CAN NOT borrower book which is not in the OWN LIBRARY (not
idea)
3. If a user want a book from one library, the librarian can ask to the
LIBRARY to LOAN the book, and in this case, the LIBRARY with the book, can
transfer the book to the other (not idea).

Any help?

Thanks.

Re: [Koha] Display output is not in order

2017-06-28 Thread Luis Moises Rojas
PROBLEM SOLVED:

STEPS

1. Modify the file: sort-string-utf.chr. Path:
/etc/koha/zebradb/lang-defs/es

2. Modify the file: word-phrase-utf.chr. Path: /etc/koha/zebradb/etc

3. Modify the file: zebra-biblios-dom.cfg. Path:
/etc/koha/sites/ , if your koha instance is called
publico_general, path should be: /etc/koha/public_general

Check this line with: Profilepath:/etc/koha/sites….

Find this:/etc/koha/zebradb/lang_defs/

If it says: /en, change to /es, so the line must be:
/etc/koha/zebradb/lang_defs/es

4. Reindex

Specially thanks to Tomas.

[Koha] Display output is not in order

2017-06-27 Thread Luis Moises Rojas
Hello everybody,

We have:
OpacdefaultSortField/OpacdefaultSortOrder set to: A-Z (also we changed to
ascendet)

But when you enter in our OPAC (try it: www.catalogoenlinea.bijrd.gob.do),
and type letter, A and try to search: this is the result:

Ñam: el ñadu gloton...
Ícaro...
Églogan...
El entre nosotros...
Álbum

And so on
After some others titles, the order is missed again.

We have changed the /etc/koha/zebradb/etc/word-phrase-utf.chr file in order
to "map aÁ.. etc

In help, pls?

Thanks
