[Koha] Koha Logo
Dear Koha Support Community, I am wanting to remove the Koha logo that is in the top nav bar (left side near cart) and/or replace it with my own logo of the same size. I was wondering if someone could share some detailed instructions on how to accomplish this.I have seen it accomplished on other Koha sites. I am familiar with the Global System Preferences and have made some changes to the main body, side bars and footer. I just can't seem to figure out how to remove/replace that logo. Re: [Koha] patron import
I am not 100% certain but I would think that the following would be the minimum necessary to identify users with the same first or last name ... cardnumber, surname, firstname, branchcode, password, and userid (possibly categorycode too) You can always do a test import of one patron. That one patron can easily be erased. Patron import is very useful when you want to import a large number of patrons and/or update current patrons. It wouldn't make sense to import them and then have to go one by one and set username and password, etc. Hope that helps... Re: [Koha] Export Athena / import Koha
Hi Vikram, It has been a busy week.,, So I found a program that allowed me to export a .mrc file into an .xml file which I opened in Microsoft Excel and then saved it to a .xlsx and .csv file. I converted all three files (one .mrc Athena export and two .mrc files that were converted for import to Koha) and placed them in the following folder so you can have a look... https://www.dropbox.com/sh/dqxe494bn2gzo9z/AABywSMDgEaylTHOJPenxqZGa?dl=0 I was able to open all three different types of each file in Microsoft Excel. I took a look and it seems to me that the barcodes are present and in the correct place for import into Koha. So the file seems to contain the correct information. Could the problem be with the way that Koha is handling the file? You mentioned something about mapping. Is there something in Koha that I need to tweak in order to import this file? The server is running just fine and can only be accessed in-house. We are using it for a small library at a private school. It is replacing the outdated Athena. I created a superuser and have logged in and am starting to set things up... I followed the directions on this wiki in order to export the MARC records from Athena in order to import it into Koha. http://library.bridgton.lib.me.us/BPL_mediawiki/index.php/Exporting_Athena_Holdings_Data_and_Importing_it_into_Koha I was able to accomplish all of the steps without any errors or issues... I then went into Manage staged MARC records from the Tools menu and imported the MARC records into the catalog. I am able to search for each item by title or author, etc. The problem that I am having is that it didn't seem to transfer the Barcode information. All of our books are already labeled so it is advantageous for us to keep the old Barcode system since there are roughly 9000 items. Any help would be much appreciated.
